Fractured Futures

“Fractured Futures” questions society’s dismissal of craftsmanship, imagining a dystopia where AI and machinery collapse. In this world, artisans reclaim power, their skills vital for survival. The collection redefines beauty through mutated, uncanny silhouettes, playfully exploring how humanity adapts when creativity and craft become our only means of endurance.

Alexis believes that the most important aspect of creating fashion today, is understanding where and why materials are used. When choosing wool as the main fiber for her collection, she sourced it directly from Merino farmer Dunbrae. Any materials she could not trace were purchased second-hand or as deadstock, from local Brisbane stores such as The Nest Community and The Fabric Store.
