Grandma’s Living Room explores the psychology of nostalgia and how it shapes our values, memories, and fashion choices. The collection reflects on the cyclical nature of fashion, particularly during the 1970s, a decade known for reinterpreting past eras. The imagined setting of a grandmother’s living room represents a space of sentimentality and history. It captures the textures, patterns, and emotional connection found in antique furniture and décor, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. The concept combines the comfort of familiarity with the curiosity of reinvention.

The Nest Community sponsorship was incredibly valuable in bringing this collection to life. It’s my favourite place to source unique reclaimed fabrics, and many of the textiles and trims used in the collection were found there. The diverse range of materials helped inspire the collection’s rich textures and nostalgic colour palette.
